It has been an overwhelming few days. I don't know if I have the right words to say how I feel but what I do know is I have heavily benefitted from white privilege my entire life. I have also partaken in Covert White Supremacy in so many of the things listed. I am ashamed to fully realise that my silence (for however "good" my reasons were) makes me complicit, which in turn, is still racist because it doesn't make me Antiracist. This is not lipservice, my eyes are wide open, I am engaged and I am ready to do the work. Thank you to all the POC, especially Black educators and activitists out there labouring away. I am deeply sorry I have arrived late. If I have come across offensive or ignorant, please comment below. Otherwise, I would prefer any comments of solidarity to be redirected into what you are doing, what part you are playing. #blacklivesmatter

This is my brother and I celebrating Eid when we lived in Harare 🇿🇼 We put on our best suits and ate all the food. 🤤 Eid Mubarak! What a blessed time for so many of us today. Sending love to all those on their own today and may have empty seats at the table 💗
